Description:

This course introduces project management concepts and terminology as they relate to the Project software. The students will create a basic project plan and layout, incorporating subtasks in an outline form. Students will learn how to link tasks in the project plan and how to adjust task relationships. Additional topics will include assigning resources from a resource list, editing the plan calendar and time constraints. How to effectively view the project from many different views, and how to generate multiple project reports.

Outcomes:

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to create a basic project plan layout and make adjustments to the program plan defaults, assign resources to tasks, adjust calendars and scheduling, assign costs to resources and tasks, adjust task relationships and view the project from many different screen views and reports.

Assessment:

Student performance is assessed through a practical project that they will receive on completion of the course.

Awards:

Upon successful completion of the course, participants are awarded with certificate of Achievement.
