International Diploma in Business
Equivalent to year 1 of a 3 year UK honours degree | HE Level C

The International Diploma in Business (IDB) is available to students across the world, who want to
obtain an internationally recognised business qualification that sets them on a path to successfully
seeking employment in the growing world of business

Objectives
On successful completion of this course you should
be able to:
•Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the
underlying concepts and principles of business and
management, and an ability to evaluate them
•Present, evaluate and interpret data, develop
lines of argument and make sound judgement in
areas of business and management
•Evaluate different approaches to business
problem-solving
• Communicate results of studies/research effectively
•Develop new skills relevant to the area of business
and management, including the development of
skills to optimise employability


Entry Requirements
•Successful graduates of the NCC Education
International Foundation Year programme or;
• Students who have any local or international
qualification which is deemed to be a similar level
to the NCC Education International Foundation
Year programme. These shall be agreed in advance
with NCC Education or;

• Students with at least one ‘A’ Level pass or an
appropriate School Leaver’s Certificate or ;

• Vocational experience which is deemed suitable
by NCC Education

For people whose first language is not English, the
required standard on the course is as follows;

• IELTS 5.0 • TOEFL 550

Structure
The International Diploma in Business consists
of eight core modules, each worth 12.5% of the
overall qualification.

• Organisational and Business Structures
• Principles of Management
• Principles of Quantitative Methods

Assessment
Assignment and examination.

Academic Progression
Successful graduates of the International Diploma in Business are eligible to apply for entry onto the International Advanced Diploma in Business.

Alternatively, students can apply to one of the many universities which accepts NCC Education graduates for progression onto their degree programmes.

Career Progression
Students can enter the job market with enhanced
skills and greater employability in areas such as
Marketing, Management, Finance, Retail or Human
Resource Management.
