Degree
with Honours
In order to
qualify to be recommended for the award of a degree with honours, a
student shall:

pass,
or be compensated in eight standard size untis |
| |
achieve a grade point score of at least 40 |
Subject to the satisfaction of the above criteria,
the classification
of the award shall be calculated as follows:

112
grade points and over - First Class Honours |
| |
88-111 grade points - Second Class Honours (Div I) |
| |
64-87 grade points - Second Class Honours (Div II) |
| |
40-63 grade points - Third Class Honours |
The Joint Examination Board may, in very exceptional
circumstances, in the exercise of its academic judgment, taking into account
the student's distribution of grades and overall performance during the course,
award a higher class of degree with honours that that indicated by the methods
in regulation above.
Degree
In
order to qualify for a degree without honours a student shall:

pass,
or be compensated in six standard size units |
| |
achieve a grade point score of at least 24 |
