Whats is the International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies?

The International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies (IAD), from NCC Education, is a one-year programme that prepares students for a career in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). It builds on the International Diploma in Computer Studies, emphasising the use of computing in a business context. Holders of the Advanced Diploma are in high in demand worldwide.

Version 2.0 of the IAD the latest update of the programme, which is being run in over 40 countries worldwide. This makes the IAD the most up-to-date and relevant Advanced Diploma of its kind, ensuring that the skills students learn are what the employers and the business world demand.


Who is the IAD for?

The IAD is an intermediate level academic programme for people who wish to enhance their basic knowledge of computing studies.

The IAD gives cadidates the ability to "pick and mix" subjects, allowing them the freedom to explore the topics which will be of the most benefit in developing their career.


Course Duration and Assessment

The IAD comprises of 10 modules. Each module requires 120 hours of study, comprising of lectures, tutorials, practical assignment(s) and private study.

Academic Recognition

The IAD is globally recognised by universities, giving more choice and exemptions in their degree courses. Some universities provide fast track degree programmes for those students who hold a very good grade in the IAD. IAD holders can achieve entry onto the third year B.Sc Degree programme at London Metropolitan University, University of Nottingham, University of Central Lancashire, University of Portsmouth, Oxford Brookes University and University of Central England.
