Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies (IADCS)
Syllabus
IAD
Course Structure
The
IADCS v2 Advanced Diploma programme is a fully modular course requiring
completion of eight modules (4 compulsory modules and 4 elective modules)
and a practical project. Electives are grouped into three topic streams allowing
candidates to specialise in their chosen area. Each module is mutually exclusive
therefore students can start at any time on the published study schedule.
Modules are delivered over approximately six (6) weeks and the project, which
normally runs over six months, may be started before the last module is completed.
The aim of the electives is to give candidates the freedom to study topics of particular interest which will also be of benefit to them in their developing career. If a candidate selects and passes a minimum of two (2) modules from the same elective topic heading, the Diploma will be endorsed "Majoring in Topic". It is possible for candidates to major in more than one topic. When a candidate selects and passes one elective from each topic, the standard IDCS Diploma will be awarded.
